Hi. I have used Radiesse twice, 1 syringe per fold & Perlane once, 1 syringe per fold. All performed in Plastic Surgeons offices. All three times the product only last approximately 3 days & I was told that some metabloisms just do that with the product. I even spoke to Radiess corporate office & was given the same answer. What do you think of Hydrell, or is there another filler which you would recommend for me? I have close to $4000 invested in these fillers with no result.

Dear Dr Niamtu,

Thanks for the informative and encouraging article. I have large keloids on each earlobe. They were excised 2 years ago but grew back bigger and better. I’m afraid of another post-excision recurrence so I’ve been learning to live with them and trying several home remedies. The surgeon I spoke to here told me that radiation would put me at risk of cancer. What other alternatives are there? I tried steroid injections but there was no change. I am currently rubbing Contractubex gel into the scars every night.
